This is the night that the "Fiji Sevens"
(Fiji's rugby team that had just won the Melbourne Cup) returned to Fiji.
And we happened to be at the resort for "half price pizza night" when the team,
and the President of Fiji and First Lady, all showed up to celebrate. This is the cup.

Kurt managed to pretend to be part of the "press" and walked right up and took a photo
of the President (in white shirt), the First Lady and the entire team.

A memorable day when our packages that we had sent from Seattle 4 months earlier finally showed up!

A Musket Cove sunset.

If you motor your dinghy through a shallow pass, you get to the village
where most of the workers who work at the nearby resorts live.
This is the school in that village.

We visited Musket Cove twice. The second time was with Nancy's brother Bob
and his wife Linal. The mosquitoes ("mozzies") really loved Bob!

After leaving Musket Cove, we travelled to Mana Island. This is a view of the anchorage.

This is the chief of the village on Mana. His name is Moses.
The package lying in front of him is our offering of Yagona (kava) that we
presented to him as part of our Sevu Sevu ceremony.

This is a shot of Nancy and Linal "shopping" at the village "store" on Mana.

Some local kids at the village on Mana.

This is a view from the top of a hill on Mana looking down at the reef entrance to the lagoon.

Believe it or not, the Skipper caught a fish! Not a big one,
but big enough for Kurt and Linal to chow down.

This is the anchorage at Navadra Island where we travelled to after Mana.

After Bob and Linal flew home, we sailed to the first of the Yasawa Island group.
This is the Naluwaki anchorage on Waya Island.

This is the chief and his wife at Naluwaki.

The village of Naluwaki.

While at Naluwaki village we met another "Nancy". So here's a shot of two Nancys.

This is a photo of the local villagers fishing off the reef at Naluwaki,
with Gumbo in the background.

And here's a local lady harvesting her "catch of the day" - a tasty little octopus.
